India 2010 - Day 2
I try to make it a point to update this blog daily during my trips to India, and so even though this isn't much, it still counts. Right?
I hit the jet lag wall this afternoon (as I pretty much expected would happen) around 3:00 PM. I've been dragging my butt ever since. But it was a good day in every other respect (except for perhaps that I still can't use the Mac OS 10 Snow Leopard side of this computer to access the internet). The enthusiasm and eagerness of the team I work with in our Hyderabad office is a tonic of it's own sort too.
So no pictures tonight, but maybe some tomorrow morning if I get up early enough. I need to go back to some of the photos I took on my earlier trips so I can take a new picture to frame some "before and after" shots. The changes to the immediate environs of the office are amazing. The building I go to is in one of the business campuses in HITEC City. No need to read the article -- just scroll the page and look at the pictures (the building I work in is not shown). All of those buildings are new in the last 12 years and they continue to build more.
And when we returned to the hotel we encountered a Christmas Tree lighting party in the lobby! An effortlessly polite hotel staffer plied me with mulled wine and I took some shots of the festivities -- I hope some are worth posting.
But Father Christmas loses out tonight to slumber and I'll take it, sugar plum fairies dancing in my sleep or not.
